Congratulations to the three first place Washington State winners in this year’s Pink Lady America program to make the world a whole lot pinker in its ‘Paint It Pink™’ contest with Sherwin-Williams®.
The winners of $1,000 each are Sandra Ellingsworth of Yakima, Carien Scarlett of Ellensburg and Chloe Kehn of Tacoma.
The contest was kicked off earlier in the year as Pink Lady America promoted the Paint It Pink™ in which contestants were simply asked to paint a scene pink around a related theme and include a Pink Lady® Apple or Apples. The scene was to be video-taped and subjected to a five-minute limit.
Sherwin-Williams® generously agreed to be a part of the Paint It Pink™ program by making available a special shade of Pink Lady Pink in more the 400 of its stores, including Columbia Paint & Coatings from coast to coast.
Health care coverage doesn’t just help when your children are sick. It also covers preventative care like immunizations, physical exams, and dental check-ups.
Like everyone, we are all parents and grandparents who have a stake in healthy children. There are thousands of children in Washington who are eligible for this coverage right now but who have not applied for it.
Pink Lady America is teaming up with Townsquare Media and Sage Fruit to present a “Healthy Families, Healthy Kids Luncheon” on August 7th at The 4th Street Theater in Yakima, WA from 11:30am – 1:00pm. August 7th is the day we’re all waiting for as Ali Vincent will be featured at a ‘Healthy Families, Healthy Kids Luncheon’ in Yakima! Along with her presentation, the program will also include a special announcement regarding a Pink Lady America partnership involving health insurance for low income children and Sage Fruit Company joining the Biggest Loser family in the marketing of its apples, pears and cherries.
For the second year in a row, Pink Lady America teamed up with Central Valley Bank to support the Relay For Life that benefits the American Cancer Society. We’d like to give a special shout out to our friends at Sage and Borton’s for generously donating some amazing Pink Lady® brand apples for the event.
Now entering its second decade of providing crisp quality and distinctive flavor to apple lovers around the world, the Pink Lady Brand Apple has earned a coveted three Guiding Stars for offering ‘the best nutritional value’ based on the Guiding Stars objective food-rating system.
“Because of the well-known nutritional aspects of apple, we’ve been busy establishing partnerships with a number of groups focused on healthy products,” says Alan Taylor, marketing director of Pink Lady America LLC.
“Our Association with Guiding Stars is beneficial for a number of reasons, but especially because of its rigorous criteria as an objective food rating system.”Now entering its second decade of providing crisp quality and distinctive flavor to apple lovers around the world, the Pink Lady Brand Apple has earned a coveted three Guiding Stars for offering ‘the best nutritional value’ based on the Guiding Stars objective food-rating system.
