Gilgat cv
An early-harvesting, red-skinned apricot from CEP Innovation. This selection produces beautifully red-skinned fruit with a strong, flavorful apricot taste. The variety is productive and juicy but is self-sterile. Gilgat cv. requires a pollinizer such as Iziagat cv. to set fruit. In Washington State, the harvest will generally occur in the second week of June. The fruit size range is 45-50 mm, and Brix is normally 15. Gilgat cv. is Plum Pox resistant.
